Just a day after Nine Inch Nails unveiled details of a new album and tour, King Crimson guitarist Adrian Belew has handed in his notice to Trent Reznor’s clan.
Belew’s departure comes just a few weeks after former Jane’s Addiction bassist Eric Avery pulled out of the latest incarnation of Nine Inch Nails.
As reported by CoS, Belew’s initial Facebook post read:
hey folks, before this goes too far let me say this: I greatly respect trent and the music he makes. no one is at fault. we both agreed it just was not working. I’m sorry to disappoint anyone. that really hurts. but NIN will do an amazing show and I am back where I belong: creating FLUX.
However, that post was soon deleted and replaced with a more concise message:
concerning me being part of the 2013 Nine Inch Nails band:
it didn’t work.
