Mr. ‘Erotic Discourse’ is set to return to Hotflush with a bouncy new track. 

Last week, Paul Woolford announced a new EP for Houndstooth under his roughneck Special Request alias, bolstered by remixes from Mister Saturday Night star Anthony Naples and the exceptional Lee Gamble. It now seems that we can also look forward to a sequel to 2011’s Hotflush release ‘Thunder’, released in collaboration with Psycatron.

On Friday, Skream and Benga premiered a new (and untitled) Woolford track, reportedly due on Hotflush, on their BBC Radio 1 show. In contrast to the Hounstooth disc, which sees Woolford dabble in jungle and minimal, the new track is an insistent piece of piano house, complete with Broadwalk-friendly earworm hook.

As noted, Woolford will also release a full-length album as Special Request on Houndstooth in September. Special Request’s gruff-as-fuck 2012 FACT mix is available to stream here.
