Jeremih slows down the beat from Young Jeezy’s ‘R.I.P.’ and shuts things down with his own version. 

The Chicago singer’s transmissions have been on the patchy side since his fantastic 2012 mixtape Late Nights…, , but ‘R.I.P.’ is definitely the best Jeremih cut in a while, slowing down DJ Mustard‘s beat to a crawl and pouring out liquor for someone he’s just, er, romanced. It’s definitely not clever – look at that cover art, for God’s sake – but the second half is definitely doing it for us today. Call him the gravedigger.
