Against the Clock is a series on FACT TV where we give an artist 10 minutes in the studio and see what they come up with. Past episodes have featured xxxy, Thefft and KiNK.

Sam Binga – formerly Baobinga – has been releasing singles since 2002, and collaborated with artists like Hyetal, Gemmy and TRG on his 2011 album Joint Ventures. Over the last 12 months, he seems to have found his feet in the same jungle / juke crossover territory as Om Unit and Machinedrum, with a slew of singles due for release on powerhouses like Critical and 50 Weapons.

Binga’s well-known for his invention in the studio, sampling anything he can get his hands on, so he seemed perfect for an Against the Clock episode. However, five minutes into the challenge disaster struck and Binga’s mouse broke, meaning he didn’t quite use the time to its full potential. Here’s the first 10 minutes we filmed with him, where despite the broken mouse, he still ends up with something pretty dope – and keep it FACT TV tomorrow for round two with Binga, where we let him have a second bite at the cherry, so long as he promised to play his studio’s radiator as part of the tune.
