Pro Era bossman Joey Bada$$ endures a long dark night of the soul on the latest cut from his Summer Knights tape.

’95 Til Infinity’, produced by Lee Bannon, is a languid and lovely joint, channeling some of the whiskey-at-4am feel of the Souls Of Mischief classic it pulls its title from. In contrast to comparatively nimble lead track ‘Word Is Bond’, Bada$$ declamatory flow, haunted by the spectre of KRS-One, sounds at once urgent and authoritative.

As it happens, Souls Of Mischief have just announced that they’ll be performing classic album ’93 Til Infinity across the US later this year.
