Bristol producer Addison Groove and drum and bass elder DJ Die have teamed up for a juke-leaning track with aspirations beyond the dancefloor.

“Rather than sell the tune, we decided to make a video for it. We simply don’t want to profit from what the message is about, which is the growing corruption within Brazil,” explained the ‘Footcrab’ producer.

‘Morro Dub Dendê’ is based on a sample from ‘Rap das Armas’ by funk carioca duo Cidinho & Doca, a song that appears on the soundtrack to the 2007 film Tropa de EliteThe video by Tim & Barry is an edited version of the film’s opening sequence.  [via XLR8R]
