The London producer behind chart-topper ‘Need U (100%)’ returns with a new single.

As Duke Dumont told us in an interview last year, “If you’re in a position to work with good vocalists, you should go down that route.” That collaborative approach yielded a bouncy #1, ‘Need U (100%)’, and now Dumont has re-teamed behind his co-writer on that tune.

‘Hold On’ isn’t as immediate as ‘Need U’, but it’s a simple, soulful house tune that showcases 18-year-old London talent MNEK (aka Uzoechi Osisioma Emenike). “I’m happy with it because it’s one of the best performances I’ve seen,” said Dumont of their work together, “and it’s basically just a drum track and him performing on it.” Stream ‘Hold On’ below; the song is forthcoming on Dumont’s Blasé Boys Club label.
