The prolific LA artist resurfaces as Ras G & the Afrikan Space Program.

Fresh off his excellent Raw Fruit cassette (one of the finest of last month), the intergalactic beatsmith will return to Brainfeeder for Back On The Planet, his first effort for the label since 2009’s Brotha From Anotha Planet.

The album is due out on August 13. Press materials promise that the album will see “ancient Afrikan poly-drum rhythms meet outer-synth splashes of white noise and intuitive experimentation meld with deep sub-harmonics for an otherworldly experience.” Alternatively, you can listen to ‘All Is Well…’ below for a taste of what to expect.
