The Sacramento rap-punks prepare for the release of a new album in 2014.
Not so epic: Pitchfork reports that Death Grips, thanks to a “unique relationship,” have partnered with Harvest and Capitol to launch Thirdworlds, an imprint that will be distributed by Caroline. All three labels are parts of the Universal Music Group; that’s Thirdworlds’ logo below.
Last year, Epic dropped Death Grips after an eight month relationship that was euphemistically described as rocky; the band (in)famously leaked their album NO LOVE DEEP WEB.
In other news, Death Grips drummer Zach Hill is writing, directing and soundtracking an original feature film to be soundtracked with all new Death Grips music. The new Death Grips album is expected next year.
