Oakland’s Shortcircles crafts lush, R&B-nodding tapestries on his Between Waves LP.

Lead single ‘On My Mind’ is typical of the output of Shortcircles (aka Matthew Tammariello): dreamy synths, crystalline arpeggios, and hip-hop-influenced beats are intertwined as a counterweight to the feathery vocals of Sarah K. Melfy.
