One electronic pop act remixes another.

FACT mixer / Eno collaborator Jon Hopkins has remixed Purity Ring’s ‘Amenamy’, off the Candian duo’s Shrines. Previously, Hopkins offered additional production and mixing on Shrines track ‘Saltkin’.

On his remix, Hopkins diffuses the original’s hip-hop inflections into a dusty shuffler that still highlights Megan James’ saccharine vocals. Purity Ring and Jon Hopkins will be playing LA’s Fonda theatre on August 27 and 28; tickets go on sale Friday at 10am PST.
