The hydra-headed remix reconfigures a bit of soulful rock into rap extravagance.

Earlier this year, SKYWLKR protege and Bruiser Brigade associate Black Noi$e impressed with his genre-hopping $$$ EP. Similarly, his remix of Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s ‘So Good at Being in Trouble’ samples the original’s lo-fi, soulful rock in service of a synth-heavy beat.

Along for the ride are underground heavyweights Killer Mike and Mr. MFN eXquire. Mike alternates between sing-song and rapid-fire with his usual brashness (“zero fucks is given ’bout haters opinions”), while eXquire offers some half-lidded free-verse that borrows the original’s lyrics (“always been so good at being bad / and so bad at being good”) and admits the obvious: “I forgot that I was spitting, I’m just thinking out loud.”
