You can always count on messy art rockers The Horrors for some beefy quotes, and they delivered today in an interview with UK music rag NME.

The biggest announcement was that their long-promised followup to 2011’s really quite good Skying is delayed until 2014, despite having been on XL’s fall schedule. The band’s guitarist Josh Hayward explained things, saying “We didn’t finish mixing it in time so it’s been pushed back. But now we’ve got more time we’ll probably write more songs for it.”

It was lead singer Faris Badwan who offered up the choice quotes though, showing his dislike for guest spots by stating “Collaborations are for losers who want to boost their careers by getting fucking Rita Ora on their track.” Well we certainly know what he means, but rubbishing collaboration in general? C’mon Faris, that’s just not fair – where would we be in a world where Miley Cyrus wasn’t rapping on Mike WiLL’s new single, eh?
