Oslo’s Slick Shoota drops a new mix ahead of his appearance at Lithuania’s SATTA Festival next week, showcasing his eclectic approach with a mixed bag of house, juke, Jersey club and jungle.
The Norwegian DJ and producer has been one of the rising stars of juke and footwork’s global expansion, notching releases on Chrissy Murderbot’s Loose Square imprint as well as Kitsune, Hyperboloid and Diplo’s Mad Decent, on which he’ll be releasing his next single.
He unveiled details of this new release and more in a chat over at Hyponik, which also includes a brand new mix in honour of his appearance at SATTA next week. You can stream the mix below which includes music from Scratcha DVA, Bambounou, Mele, Addison Groove, DJ Earl and Slick Shoota himself.
SATTA festival is one of Lithuania’s best-kept secrets, a yearly summer throwdown of arts and music on the Lithuanian coast that has seen the likes of Gaslamp Killer, Machinedrum, Hudson Mohawke, Kelpe, Mount Kimbie, Mouse on Mars, Paul White and more play live since its beginnings in 2007 as an offshot of the eponymous Vilnius venue, which is no longer.
This year’s headliners include JETS, Lapalux, the Low End Theory crew (with Kutmah subbing for The Gaslamp Killer), Om Unit, DJ EZ and more.
