This week’s FACT mix comes from Manchester’s Trus’me.
Trus’me, real name David Wolstencroft, debuted in 2007 with Working Night$, a brilliantly constructed journey through house, boogie and hip-hop that FACT ranked among the best albums of the decade. Soon after, he established the Prime Numbers label, which has provided a platform for artists like Linkwood, Actress and more, and has since released two more albums, 2009’s In the Red and this year’s Treat Me Right.
We’ve been angling for a Trus’me FACT mix for some time now, and ahead of his appearance at secretsundaze x Go Bang!’s London mini-festival on Bank Holiday Sunday, August 25 – featuing Trus’me, Omar-S, Juan Atkins and Moritz Von Oswald’s Borderland project and a ton more names from house and techno’s elite – we’ve finally managed to reel one in. A slow-burning house selection with just the right amount of frayed ends, it couldn’t be sounding better in our office this morning: Daniel Bell, Skudge and more feature.
