Legends Never Die.
Pimp C might have passed away back in 2007, but as everyone should now know, death rarely keeps a good rapper down. Indeed, plans are being made for the ex-UGK man’s third posthumous full-length, and fellow Texan Three Six Mafia alum Juicy J has been ushered in to handle the production.
It’s not the first time Juicy’s had dealings with Pimp C; the two collaborated many times, most visibly on the world-beating (and still massive) ‘Sippin’ On Some Syrup’ back in 2000, so his inclusion in the project is more than appropriate, especially given his current currency. Juicy revealed the news via Twitter, and also noted that the record would feature unreleased material, which should have Pimp C fans at least interested to hear what eventually emerges.
Juicy J’s forthcoming solo album Stay Trippy (which incidentally features Pimp C) is due August 27. [via Complex]
