Beat scene pioneer connects with Japan’s new school.
Fresh off a Japanese summer tour to celebrate his recent album, L.A’s Sweatson Klank (formerly known as Take) has just released the Heading East EP which was put together for and sold on the tour in collaboration with Osaka promoter Perfect Touch. The EP follows from Klank’s fourth album, You, Me, Temporary, released earlier this year on Project Mooncircle and featuring the likes of Deniro Farrar, Vikter Duplaix, Sonnymoon and more.
Heading East features two brand new tracks from the L.A producer, delicately flirting between dancefloor and headnod, and six remixes from a grip of talent from Japan’s new school including former RBMA participant Sauce81, Diskotopia’s Fujimoto Tetsuro and long-standing hip hop producer RLP. The remixes swing between shoulder-skanking trap and eyes-down, reflective 4×4, showing the breadth of Japan’s rising stars.
The EP is now available on worldwide release via Bandcamp, you can stream and purchase below. You can also purchase it in a bundle alongside the t-shirt made especially for the tour over at the Perfect Touch website.
