Influential noise imprint Hospital Productions has managed to diversify its roster significantly in recent years, thanks in part to the breakout of label boss Dominick Fernow’s uncharacteristically beat-driven Vatican Shadow project.

It should hardly come as a surprise then that Fernow is taking this further still by welcoming L.I.E.S. boss Ron Morelli to the fold for his debut album, and while there are precious few details we’re guessing it’s likely to be one of the season’s highlights.

Something we do know a little more about is the brand new album from Fernow himself, which sees him again operating under the Vatican Shadow moniker again. Billed as the first ‘proper’ album of new material from the project (the rest being hastily put-together tapes and limited edition vinyl), Remember Your Black Day will also be the very first Vatican Shadow album to find a home on the CD format. Billed as “direct” and “propulsive,” the album contains additional production from Silent Servant’s Juan Mendez, and is said to be a stark contrast to the glut of noise techno we’ve been hearing for the last year or so.

Remember Your Black Day will be released on CD and LP on October 21 via Hospital Productions.
