Drone veteran Jim O’Rourke has had a busy week, not only has he embraced Bandcamp to issue eight (!) rare and unreleased albums, but we now have the chance to hear gorgeous new track ‘Low Bow’.

Culled from the forthcoming Air Texture Volume III compilation, the track finds O’Rourke in ambient mode, chopping what sounds like guitar tones and transforming them into harmonic, warming clouds of granular sound.

The compilation also features exclusive contributions from Fennesz, Oren Ambarchi, Pole, Ricardo Villalobos and plenty more, and it’s due for release on September 23 via Air Texture. [via Pitchfork]
