Co-directed by Steven Klein, secretprojectrevolution is set for release on September 24 via Bit Torrent, and is the first part of Madonna‘s Art For Freedom initiative.

Art For Freedom was established by Madonna along with Bit Torrent and Vice to give a platform for artists to exercise their freedom of expression and muse on it. Madonna herself explained the project: “I hope my film and other submission to Art For Freedom will be a call-to-action and give people a place to voice their own creative expression to help fight oppression, intolerance and complacency.”

Public submissions of music, film, poetry and photography will be encouraged when the platform launches, and users will be able to upload their work themselves to a special Art For Freedom platform.

It’s an ambitious project, certainly, but one that seems to have been put together with a serious amount of conviction from its collaborators. We’re certain even more will be revealed when the film appears next week. [via Rolling Stone]
