Due soon on Mute’s Liberation Technologies sublabel, Misery is a Communicable Disease is the latest offering from Young Echo‘s Seb Gainsborough, aka Vessel.

The label have now shared the title track, and if you hear Gainsborough’s intriguing Tri-Angle full-length Order of Noise then you should have an idea of the area he’s placed himself in. Taking cues from early AFX, this is gritty, overdriven, analogue electronic music, blessed with a spine-chilling pulse that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Vatican Shadow album.

Thankfully the young producer manages to inject just the necessary amount of melody to keep things from descending too far into the void. [via Ad Hoc]
