Funkineven and Delroy Edwards announce collaborative 12"

Squelch meets grit on a new 12″ from Funkineven and Delroy Edwards.

Eglo regular, Apron boss and ‘Rolands Jam’ man Funkineven has history when it comes to UK/US team-ups: his FunkinEvil project with Detroit techno producer Kyle Hall has already spat out two fine EPs, last year’s Night/Dusk EP and the lush Ignorant disc.

The next producer to set up a ‘special relationship’ with the 303 enthusiast is L.I.E.S alum Delroy Edwards – the man behind a trio of roughneck ghettohouse EPs in the last 18 months, and, as of this Autumn, skipper of the L.A. Club Resource label. Their joint 12″, due on Apron, offers mangled acid house, and is essential listening for fans of Kowton‘s brutal, overdriven house music.

The EP is due next month, and follows Funkineven’s boogie-focused Species EP for Julio Bashmore‘s Broadwalk label. Frazzled A-side ‘XX’ is available to stream below.
