Prefuse 73 and Teebs’ Sons of the Morning debut was announced earlier this year, and now we’re presented the gorgeous release in full.
Entitled Speak Soon Volume One, the record sounds noticeably more restrained than either artist’s regular work, and brings to mind Scott Heron’s excellent (and still underrated) Delarosa & Asora material (just flip to the clattering closing track ‘Movement in Mercury’) from the early ’00s. You can hear the whole thing below, thanks to Noisey.
Speak Soon Volume One is due for release on October 1, via Scott Heron’s Yellow Year imprint.
