Cameron Mesirow turns her gaze skywards for the follow-up to her head-turning 2010 debut, Ring.
US experimental songwriter Glasser releases her second album, Interiors, on True Panther next week (October 8). Following the singles ‘Shape’ and ‘Keam Theme’, the whole thing is now streaming online via Glasser’s website.
Inspired by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas’ book Delirious New York, Mesirow’s latest collection of dreamy electronic pop explores the tension between interior and exterior space, asking what secrets Manhattan’s monolithic architecture might hold. “I thought a lot about the physical impositions in my life, and about the fluid emotional boundaries in my relationships,” she explains. “There’s no limit to what can be said about these structures. I can’t help but live and work in them, exploring their many folds.”
Mesirow is also heading out on tour across the US and Europe this winter; see the full list of dates at the bottom of the post. [via The Guardian]
