The ever-mysterious London collective tease forthcoming EP with ambitious new track.
Following 2012’s trilogy of EPs and this year’s Compendium compilation, Old Apparatus have now hinted at a new EP in the works.
Titled Epirtsder (which is ‘Red Stripe’ backwards – a knowing nod toward the London basshead’s tipple of choice perhaps?), the release was teased on the group’s Soundcloud page alongside a dense and atmospheric new track, ‘JPES’, which you can hear below.
Old Apparatus made their debut in 2011 on Mala’s Deep Medi label with a release that touched on hip-hop, noise and techno as well as the dubstep of their labelmates, and later set up their own Sullen Tone label. FACT interviewed the mysterious four-piece last summer, and they in turn dropped in a deeply eclectic FACT mix. [via Self-Titled]
