On ‘Fan Death’, Aquarian crossbreeds the breakneck techno of his previous material with footwork’s cascading vocal samples and the off-kilter rhythms of new-school grime. The result sounds like a more kinetic version of the title track from last year’s Obsidian EP — and it’s killer.
