Atlanta’s Rome Fortune has become something of a regular on these pages, and with good reason.

His latest drop is again produced by FKi (who handled the Toro Y Moi-sampling ‘Grind‘), and this time utilizes a surprisingly effective snippet of ‘Missing’ from alternative music’s favourite Scientologist Beck. The track’s a far cry from Rome’s doomy (and absolutely unmissable) last couple of tunes, but finds him comfortable occupying a markedly different zone. Beck’s low-slung plucks have always had something of a connection with rap, if you think about it – remember ‘Loser’?
