Against the Clock is a series on FACT TV where we give an artist 10 minutes in the studio and see what they come up with. Past episodes have featured xxxy, Thefft, KiNK, Sam Binga (twice), Artifact, Addison Groove, Ziro, Huxley, Roska and Stay Positive. 

Ingo Gansera and Marco Freivogel have been releasing house and techno records as Exercise One since 2004, and in 2009 released their debut album for Mobilee, In Cars We Rust. As FACT TV found out when shooting in the duo’s Berlin studio, Exercise One work almost 100% outside the box, building up tracks on drum machines and an array of synthesisers and effects units before recording and arranging live. This, naturally, made them a pretty perfect candidate for Against the Clock – watch them take the challenge above.
