Stevie Wonder plans three new albums, will perform Songs in the Key of Life in full - When The World Began and Ten Billion Hearts

Stevie Wonder plans to release two new albums in 2014, When The World Began and Ten Billion Hearts.

According to The Guardian, Wonder has confirmed the new album rumours, and also revealed that he’s working on a third full-length, a gospel-style tribute to his late mother titled Lula. The other two albums will be noticeably hip-hop-influenced (Wonder appeared on Drake’s Take Care in 2011). “I listen a lot to rap”, he explained. “And I’m inspired to take it, to use it in another way, to get the message across.”

The albums are inspired by “my children, family, change, growth, heartbreaks”. Wonder divorced last year, so it’s likely that those subjects are pretty fresh in his mind. Wonder also plans to perform his 1976 classic Songs in the Key of Life in full next year.
