Top Dawg Entertainment extended an offer but the Chicago upstart declined.
In a recent interview on RapFix Live, Chance the Rapper said that rumors of almost signing to TDE — where he would join the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and SZA — were almost true.
“All of those guys are my good friends,” the Acid Rapper told Sway, explaining that while they made an offer, he wanted to remain independent. “They didn’t almost sign me, they wanted to sign me.”
