WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange appeared at M.I.A.‘s New York concert this Friday gone (November 1).

Kicking off the tour for the singer’s new album Matangi, Assange appeared via Skype from the Ecuadorian embassy in London to address the crowd at New York’s Terminal 5. Assange and M.I.A. have worked together before: in 2011, M.I.A. named a mixtape Vicki Leekx as a tribute to Assange’s website, and the next year she worked with Assange on music for his television show The World Tomorrow. You can watch Assange’s 10 minute appearance below, stream Matangi here, and read FACT’s Chal Ravens’ interview with M.I.A. here.
