Morrissey hospitalised with concussion after apparent car accident

The body rules the mind, it seems.

Morrissey‘s medical problems have been fairly regular occurrences over this past year: the former Smiths frontman weathered a bleeding ulcer in January, double pneumonia in the Spring, and nixed a South American tour after contracting severe food poisoning in July. The singer also claimed that he had been advised to retire from music by doctors.

It appears that Morrissey’s health woes continue to plague him. Fan spot True to You are reporting that the singer has been “discharged from Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles following treatment for concussion, whiplash, and an arm injury.” In a statement, the singer thanks the medical staff at the hospital for their “outstanding level of care and attention.” It’s not yet been confirmed how he sustained the injuries, although, reading the above, some sort of car accident seems like the obvious cause.

No doubt Moz’s recovery will be aided by the news that his recent venture into life writing, Autobiography, has already become one of the fastest selling memoirs of all time; head here to see the tome condensed down into a manageable playlist.
