Bug in the bass bin.

We know Kevin Martin‘s taste is pretty wide-reaching – he’s got the decades of collaborations to prove it – but that doesn’t make the very suggestion of a hook-up with Earth‘s Dylan Carlson any less mindblowing.

Yesterday via Twitter, Martin announced somewhat backhandedly that he and Carlson had been laying down tracks together, and while there’s little or no information further than that, it looks like there are at least two tracks. We can’t even begin to imagine what the collaboration might sound like, but think about it for a moment – Carlson was the man behind an album so bass heavy it had the subtitle Special Low Frequency Version – if this doesn’t get you weak at the knees, we don’t know what will.
