The Bay Area-bred rapper preps his debut ‘proper’ album.
Whether solo or as one half of Main Attrakionz, MondreM.A.N. has racked up quite the discography. Still, despite countless mixtapes and collaborations, he still hasn’t released what he considers his debut album, They Say I Struggle Rap.
They Say I Struggle Rap is due out November 12 on the SWEETBREDS imprint. Like lead cut ‘MC ILLIN’, some of the album eschews Mondre’s familiar cloud rap sound for drum machined trunk rattlers in the vein of Bay Area forebearers like Too $hort. The twelve-track LP also features Mondre’s MAz partner-in-crime Squadda Bambino and Green Ova associates Shady Blaze, Hasani, and DaVinci. Stream it below via Noisey.
