More than just about any other album on our top 50 albums of 2012 list, we keep returning to Jam City‘s Classical Curves – an otherworldly collection of pranging electro-funk and juddering ghettohouse, sung from an entirely unique hymnsheet. His form has been strong in 2013 too: he released a generous cache of lost early tracks back in Spring, filed a twisted instalment in Night Slugs‘ Club Constructions EP series, and was a major backroom force on Kelela‘s exceptional Cut 4 Me LP.
