Detroit’s cult favourite ends the year on his own label.

Theo Parrish’s last transmission of 2013 will be a new 12″ on his Sound Signature imprint.

The A-side, ‘Long Walk In Your Sun’, sees the house veteran crafting his signature hazy, laidback mood from a mid-tempo stomp woven with fuzzy analogue warmth, while ‘Strawberry Dragon’ on the flip pushes in far less stable directions, haphazardly piling jazzy pianos over clipped drum breaks.

It’s been a pretty busy year for Parrish, what with setting up new label Wildheart Recordings, releasing an excellent Black Jazz Records compilation and cranking out the odd remix, including a dreamy version of Mala’s Cuban cut ‘Como Como’.
