It’s almost Christmas, and London’s Independent Label Market is celebrating in style.
Coolly twinned with London Brewers’ Market, on the 30th November the Independent Label Market will allow London’s record fans to grab a slew of exclusive wax from some of the country’s finest indie imprints, all while sipping an artisanally crafted pint of your chosen alcoholic beverage.
There’s a daunting amount of labels present, from established giants like Ninja Tune, !K7, Warp, Peacefrog and Domino to more bespoke imprints such as Houndstooth, Rocket Girl and Erased Tapes. Plenty of the labels involved will have special, exclusive limited edition items for sale, so there’s a mighty good reason for heading over if you’re in the area.
Young Turks will be selling off long-sold out 12″s, test pressings from The xx and mixtapes from the label’s acclaimed roster; Domino will have a limited edition gold cassete of Omar Souleyman‘s excellent Wenu Wenu among other goodies; Ninja Tune will be selling test pressings of Lee Bannon‘s eagerly-awaited full-length and rare black-label versions of Actress‘s ‘Grey Over Blue’ 12″; Peacefrog will have copies of Moodymann‘s absolutely crucial Black Mahogany and Ron Trent‘s Primitive Arts – and all this is only scratching the surface.
