It’s true, Tribe Called Quest frontman Q-Tip is set to reconnect with Kanye West on his next album.

In an interview with Rap Radar‘s Elliott Wilson, Tip muses on the 20th anniversary of seminal album Midnight Marauders, and drops some tantalizing information on upcoming material. While revealing information about his upcoming solo record Last Zulu (“Bars is crazy, beats is crazy, it’s gonna be darker.”) the rapper/producer drops the bomb that he’s working on a new full-length for a certain Mr. West. ”I’m producing Kanye’s new album with Rick Rubin, I’m doin’ that, so that’s coming up.”

It sounds pretty cut and dry to us, but then we’re sure you remember what happened with ‘Mama’s Boyfriend‘, so who knows what we can actually expect.
