More news on the Brooklynite’s prompt follow-up to this May’s Prisoner of Conscious LP.

Not content with dropping one full-length in 2013, Talib Kweli is set to issue another self-released LP before the year is out. Gravitas has been pitched by Kweli as a rejoinder to an ungainly global music industry: “Who needs this industry when we have each other. The technology exists for me to have this relationship with the fans, and vice versa. It is a grand experiment. Let’s go for it!”

More details have now arrived about the record. Gravitas will run to 11 tracks, and will feature guest spots from Wu-Tang man Raekwon and The Roots’ Black Thought, plus appearances from Rah Digga, Mike Posner, rising duo The Underachievers and guitarist Gary Clark Jr. No sign of Q-Tip, who was previously rumoured to appear.

The production looks pretty right-on too, with J Dilla standing out as the biggest name on the credit list. Statik Selektah, Rich Kidd, Lord Quest, Thaddeus Dixon, 6th Sense and Khrysis will all feature, as will Oh No (who produced previously aired Illuminati takedown ‘The Wormhole’).

Gravitas is due out on December 15.
