R Kelly marks the passing of Nelson Mandela in song.
Last night, the singer appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show to perform an original song in honour of the former South African president, who passed away yesterday aged 95. The track, ‘Soldier’s Heart’, was written for Mandela back in 2009, and performed privately for the politician the same year at his home. Kelly’s really rather excellent new album, Black Panties, is available to stream here. The singer has also just announced that more instalments of his psychosexual melodrama/rolling morality play Trapped In The Closet are in the works. [via Consequence of Sound]
