UK producer adds low end dread and bounce to African fusion.
London’s Champion has had a pretty good year, most recently turning in a rather stunning remix of Four Tet’s ‘Kool FM’.
He ends the year with another refix, this time for Brownswood Recordings artist Owiny Sigoma Band. The original ‘Nyiduonge Drums’ track has been receiving support from the likes of Mr. Scruff, Jackmaster, Oneman and Alexander Nut thanks to its blend of traditional African music and modern European dance music. The remix by Champion adds bounce and low end pressure to the worldly vibes of the original in an almost effortless manner.
You can hear the remix below exclusively on FACT. The single is released December 30, and you can pre order on iTunes now.
