Digitalis boss Brad Rose wheels out the Charlatan moniker once again on this brand new collection of remixes.
The album’s source is last year’s excellent Night Circus, and Rose has called on a brace of his most intriguing accomplices to melt his original tracks into something new entirely. We’ve got new Software signee Thug Entrancer’s retro acid refit of ‘Glasshouse Patterns’, Prostitutes’ gloomy, rumbling rework of ‘Hospital’, No Neck Blues Band’s Pat Murano’s take on ‘Fronts & Cutouts’ and plenty more.
Best of all is the album’s closer from Zwei Kreise which sounds to us like it could have been chopped from Aphex Twin’s stone-cold essential I Care Because You Do LP, and that’s not a bad thing at all. You can take a listen to the whole thing below.
