Continuing bass legend DJ Zinc‘s series of Trust Me I Was There mixes comes this latest installment focusing on the year of 1989.
Plenty was happening before the world got dragged kicking and screaming into the 90s – we were in the throes of techno, house, rave and hip-hop, and as Zinc notes, the UK was almost at the point where jungle would rear its ugly head.
Future dance pop pin-up DJ Rap also makes an appearance here (on vocals no less) so whether you’re a keen dance music historian or just a fresh-faced millennial looking for your next cultural goldmine, DJ Zinc has provided yet again.
