Kieran Hebden’s been a busy boy lately, and it doesn’t look as if he’s ready to take a breather just yet.

The man known as Four Tet contributed to Don’t Watch That‘s Beat This series recently, and he decided that to make his hastily-produced beat he’d use only samples from Michael Jackson’s classic ‘Thriller’.

Armed with a portable turntable, a vinyl copy of Thriller and Ableton Live, Hebden shows how easy it is to transform an innocuous (and very familiar) loop into something totally fresh, and manages to emerge with a track we wouldn’t mind hearing in full.
