The Atlanta rapper behind ‘Stoner’ and ‘Danny Glover’ has some major projects in the works.
Young Thug has been on our radar for some time; he released the best mixtape of 2013, and recent single ‘Danny Glover’ has found fans in Drake and Kanye West, with whom he’s already hit the studio.
“I mean, I went to his house and we did a couple of songs. The fact that I was [making songs] so fast amazed him too, because he doesn’t see a lot of people who rap like that. I don’t really rap with a lot of people [because] everyone raps the same way,” he tells Complex. “When I first heard he wanted to know who I was and do songs, I was smiling ear to ear like a clown.”
The rapper says he also has mixtapes in the works with Chief Keef, collaborator Rich Homie Quan, and Bloody Jay, with whom he just released the excellent Black Portland.
