The London duo recast the singer’s retro-funk as late night house.

R&B iconoclast Kelis will release her culinary-themed album Food on April 22, via new home Ninja Tune. Until then, we expect that a string of singles and remixes will tease the release.

First up: Mount Kimbie. On their remix of ‘Jerk Ribs’, the pair opt for a house groove with some of their trademarked, electronic haze rather than the funk shuffle of the Dave Sitek-produced original. Listen below.
