Eccentric art-pop from the multi-instrumentalist.

The self-titled fourth album by pop imagineer St. Vincent is now available to stream in full ahead of its release next week.

Led by the singles ‘Birth In Reverse’ and ‘Digital Witness’, Annie Clark’s first album since 2011′s Strange Mercy sees her playing with aggressive electric guitars, delicate vocal and synth arrangements and boisterous percussion to produce, as she puts it, “a party record you could play at a funeral”.

The album was recorded in Dallas with Dap-Kings drummer Homer Steinweiss and frequent collaborator McKenzie Smith of Midlake along with producer John Congleton.

Last year Clark joined forces with Talking Heads star David Byrne to produce an acclaimed album, Love This Giant.
