Dolly Parton will perform at this year’s Glastonbury, organiser Emily Eavis has revealed.

The blonde bombshell of C&W added via Twitter: “I’m incredibly excited to FINALLY announce that the #BlueSmokeWorldTour is coming to @GlastoFest on June 29th! ;) Stay tuned for more info…”

Parton, who was rumoured for the bill back in December, will join headliners headliners Arcade Fire on the farm from June 25-29.

Last year, Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis promised that the headliners for the 2014 festival would be “three bands who haven’t played Glastonbury” – FACT had an inkling Dolly might be one of them when we put together a rundown of possible Glastonbury headliners.

Tickets are sold out, but there’s still a chance to grab a return in the April resale.
