The twee pop legends tackle a film score before getting to work on their new album.
Belle and Sebastian have been tabbed to score The Dog Thrower, a one-off comedy for Sky Arts’ Playhouse series. It’s written and directed by Welsh multi-hyphenate Jon Ronson and stars Friends actor Matthew Perry, a US sitcom veteran who is making his UK comedy debut. The Playhouse series is comprised of eight 30-minute comedies and begins in May.
Earlier this year, Belle and Sebastian’s Stuart Murdoch confirmed that the band would start recording their new album this month — and that it would be inspired by Eurovision.
