Pop voyagers weave a psychedelic journey on new mixtape.

After dropping their Afrobeats-flavoured single ‘Killing’, featuring vocals from Disclosure collaborator Eliza Doolittle, London-based duo We Are Shining unveil their fresh mixtape DEVILEYES.

Previously operating as The Shining, Hyperdub producer (and Spacek drummer) Morgan Zarate and vocalist Acyde craft a psychedelic pop world from bursts of hip hop drums, acid guitar, dubbed out bass, African rhythms and off-kilter vocals (including from singer Roses Gabor). It’s ambitious ear candy indeed, recommended for fans of John Wizards, Animal Collective, or even Gorillaz.
